How to Login to the User Interface

Step 1: Navigate to the login screen

On the website of the Supercomputer Center of the Technical University of Košice hpc.tuke.sk, in the upper right part of the screen, click on the item "Access to HPC", which will take you to the login interface.

Step 2: Login page

After successfully registering and activating your account, on the login page of the HPC PERUN Portal:

  • In the Email or HPC PERUN identifier field, enter your registered email address or your HPC PERUN identifier.
  • In the Password field, enter your access password.
  • Click the “Log In” button.

If you have forgotten your password, you can use the “Forgot your password?” link.

After entering the correct details, you will be redirected to the portal.

Step 3: User Interface

Main Navigation

The left panel contains the main menu of the HPC PERUN portal, providing quick access to various functions:

  • Dashboard – an overview of statistics, HPC status, and quick links.
  • Calls – a list of open or closed calls for computing time allocation.
  • Applications – an overview of submitted requests, including their status (processing, approved, rejected).
  • Projects – displays projects where you are the author or a member.
  • SSH Keys – management of public SSH keys required for HPC access.
  • Change History – a log of changes, edits, and activities within the HPC system.
  • HPC Website (external link) – redirects to the official HPC portal website.

 

User Profile (Bottom Left Corner)

At the bottom of the left panel, you will find the user information area:

  • Displays the user’s name and email address.
  • Clicking this area opens the user profile, where you can:
    • Edit personal details.
    • Change your password.
  • Clicking the icon to the right of the name and email address logs you out of the system.

 

Language Change (Top Right Corner)

In the top right corner, there is an icon showing the abbreviation of the current language (e.g., SK).
Clicking this menu allows you to change the interface language:

  • SK – Slovak
  • EN – English

 

Dashboard

After logging in, the main screen appears, providing an overview of your activity and the status of the HPC infrastructure.

The dashboard includes:

✔ Overview of current calls
✔ Your projects
✔ Created or uploaded SSH keys
✔ Status of available HPC nodes (CPU / GPU)
✔ Statistics and metrics for the selected period

Step 4: User Profile

To view and edit your details, click on your username located in the bottom-left corner of the portal.

In your profile, you can view:

  • Your email address (unchangeable after registration)
  • Unique HPC PERUN identifier for the HPC center
  • A nickname as an identifier in projects
  • Your first and last name
  • And other details

Some information cannot be changed because it serves as a unique identifier in the system.

Step 5: Change Password

In the Profile Settings → Password section, you can update your password at any time.

Steps:

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Enter a new password according to valid security rules.
  3. Repeat the new password for confirmation.
  4. Click the “Change Password” button.

Recommendations:

  • Do not use the same password as in other systems.
  • Store your password in a secure password manager.
